We also offer apprenticeship programs for students. As an apprentice, you get on-the-job training, while getting an education – and you get paid! Start an exciting new career in one of these high-demand fields.
Apprenticeship opportunities are available in the following occupations:
- Air Conditioning and Heating
- Electrician
- Machinist
- Welding
Students who are selected for participation in adult apprenticeship programs will receive the following:
- Paid employment and mentoring from an employer partner
- A completion certificate for coursework that may be applied towards an associate degree
- National credentials from the U.S. Department of Labor
- Marketable skills for life
To be eligible for adult apprenticeship opportunities a student must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Demonstrate academic readiness and responsibility
- Provide a final, official high school transcript with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher from the last five years; qualifying SAT/ACT scores; or achieve qualifying next-generation ACCUPLACER scores (TTC placement test)
- Achieve qualifying Placement Test scores
- Provide a resume in Word format
- Sign a Release of Information form
- Be legally able to work in the United States
